Subject [jira] [Updated] (INFRA-12366) Unstable Testing from ASF Jenkins

Chris Lambertus updated INFRA-12366:
------------------------------------
Status: Waiting for user (was: Waiting for Infra)

There's been some precedent for project-specific nodes. We'd evaluate this based on the needs
of the project and available resources.

https://builds.apache.org/view/A-D/view/Cassandra/job/Cassandra-test-all/ doesn't have a graph
because it has no associated test results. I believe those are generated by the "Publish JUnit
Test Results" post-build action. I don't know enough about how JUnit tests create their output
files to suggest what may be going wrong, though.

> I have added Apache Cassandra artifact builds and unit testing jobs in ASF's Jenkins
and have had difficulty with getting stable results during test runs. There have been a good
number of junit timeouts, as well as very different results when compared to running the tests
in a dedicated Jenkins infrastructure.
> I will gather the test result details and include those in this ticket. I would like
to see if we can work together on finding whatever problems are resulting in this instability,
as I have been unable to figure it out myself.
