Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-11933) Commit to Kafka website git repository not propagated to actual website or GitHub
Date Thu, 19 May 2016 15:06:12 GMT

Geoffrey Corey commented on INFRA-11933:

Depends on the type of change. The current system doesn't handle rebases well, nor does it
see only tags or new branches without changes. Sometimes it doesn't like big(ger) commits,
and sometimes it just doesn't see the commit for weird reasons.

I have gone ahead and forced a manual sync. Do note that subsequent commits should trigger
the sync daemon from git-wip to github, and hopefully some recent resiliency for gitwcsub
have made it able to survive people doing force pushes.

> Key: INFRA-11933
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-11933
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Git
> Reporter: Ismael Juma
> Last commit[1][2] to the Kafka website git repository (kafka-site) has not propagated
to github[3] or to the actual website[4] after 8 hours. The updates usually happen much faster,
so I'm wondering if something went wrong.
