Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-10857) Password resets not reflected by svn-us.apache.org
Date Tue, 05 Apr 2016 23:21:25 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-10857?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15227343#comment-15227343

Daniel Shahaf (äñ§€¥£¢) commented on INFRA-10857:

minotaur:/usr/sbin/passwd was hardcoded to use ldap1. After [~cml] switched it to use ldap3,
I did a pwreset, at which point whimsy and svn accepted the pw. (I didn't try paste.a.o/reference.a.o.)
Symptoms so far are consistent with ldap3<->ldap* having a lag, so services using the
same ldap server as mino:/usr/sbin/passwd accept the pw immediately, and other services see
a lag.

> After changing my password using {{ssh -t minotaur.apache.org sudo passwd danielsh}},
svn-eu.apache.org accepts my new password immediately but svn-us.apache.org does not. I test
with {{svn info https://svn-us.apache.org/repos/private/committers}}.
