Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-10857) Password resets not reflected by svn-us.apache.org

Daniel Shahaf (äñ§€¥£¢) commented on INFRA-10857:
-------------------------------------------------

It seems to be happening again.

Today's events in chronological order:

1. I tried to commit. Since I hadn't seeded my password-answering script, I just typed <Enter>
three times at the password prompt, effectively trying three times to authn with an empty
password. That plus a few subsequent commit attempts fail2banned me. I undid the iptables
ban; that involved logging in to reference.apache.org, which succeeded.

2. I sent a test email via mail-relay.a.o, which succeeded. I then ran {{curl -u danielsh
https://whimsy.apache.org/committers/subscribe}} and it gives a 401 response.

So, in short:

GOOD: mail-relay.a.o, reference.a.o
BAD: svn.a.o, whimsy.a.o

> After changing my password using {{ssh -t minotaur.apache.org sudo passwd danielsh}},
svn-eu.apache.org accepts my new password immediately but svn-us.apache.org does not. I test
with {{svn info https://svn-us.apache.org/repos/private/committers}}.
> This has been preventing me from making commits.
