Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-11305) Automated building docker images on Apache REEF DockerHub

Dongjoon Hyun commented on INFRA-11305:

Oh, thank you! I see. 'apache/reef` looks great, but 'bintray.com/apache' also looks good.

1. We need only 'master == lastest'. So, it's okay.

The following is one of our 9 settings.
  - Type: Branch
  - Name: master
  - Dockerfile Location: /ubuntu12.04-jdk7-apache2.7
  - Docker Tag Name: latest

2. For naming issue, yes. It seems that we need to make JIRA issue and bother you. :)
  - Since Apache REEF is a unifiying layer on Mesos/YARN, we need to add new dockerfile for
new Mesos or Yarn version.
  - The old versions are also important for compatibility tests.

3. For the Bintray, 'https://bintray.com/apache' sounds reasonable since it is official.
I hope this should be maintained by REEF community.
If we need sometime later, we can add another member to access that, like Jenkins, right?

To sum up, I willingly try Bintray.
I created Bintray account with the Github account. ( dongjoon-hyun ).
Please grant me access.
Thank you!

> Hi,
> Apache REEF project wants to setup automated Docker builds on https://hub.docker.com/
as a part of the first TLP release.
> Until now, our (half-official?) docker images are on 'https://hub.docker.com/u/reefrt/dashboard/'
and are automated built based on my personal github repository. I tried to change to move
to Apache REEF Github, but I couldn't.
> If there is a way to setup automated Docker build from Apache REEF Github account, that
would be great for us.
