Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-11412) can't remove pgp fingerprint from id.apache.org
Date Wed, 09 Mar 2016 06:54:40 GMT

Henk Penning commented on INFRA-11412:

A very nice feature would be pgp-key-validation :
-- mark the key as 'provisional'
-- lookup the key on a key-server ; get the pubkey
-- encrypt a "valididation-url" (with the key) ; send it to user
-- when the user visits the url, mark key as 'verified'.

Danielsh (original author, I think) said it would be easy to add.
I would submit a patch, if I were a python guy :-).

> It looks like I can't delete a pgp finger-print from id.apache.org.
> The application shows me three key-entry-boxes ; 1 real, 1 fake, 1 empty. I want to the
delete the 'fake'. If/when I empty the box with the fake-key, and submit, I get an error saying
that the submitted keys are not 'pairwise distinct'. That is correct because two of them are
> Methinks the test is wrong ; too strong. The submitted keys may be equal, if they are
both empty.
> Thanks for the fix :-).
