Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-11149) Establish new service on any23-vm.apache.org

Mark Thomas commented on INFRA-11149:

A few questions from the peanut gallery.

1. Why share the VM? Shouldn't the climate PMC have their own VM?

2. Does the web application require authentication?

3. Generally, haven't such demos been set up under a separate hostname (e.g. climate-demo.a.o)
in the past? Certainly climate.a.o/webapp could redirect to the dedicated host.

> Hi Infra@,
> I dropped into Hipchat and [~pono] rightly advised me to log a ticket here.
> I'm looking to set up another service on the any23-vm.apache.org VM wit the idea of sharing
the VM and therefore resources.
> This 'new' service is for another project, namely http://climate.apache.org and would
consist of a lightweight web server which runs a service.
> The thing which I am not sure about, and would really appreciate some feedback on is
the following. I would be looking to get a port on any23-vm.apache.org:9000 re-routed to climate.apache.org/webapp.
> Is this do-able?
> Thanks
