hongbin ma commented on INFRA-10800:
------------------------------------

agreed, we heavily used feature branches, and rebase them back to mainstream branches. Being
restrictive in creating/deleting branches does not make sense to us.

> hi,
> when we're trying to clean some remote branches we found following error:
> Kylin git:(2.x-staging) ✗ git push origin :KYLIN-1112
> remote: error: denying ref deletion for refs/heads/KYLIN-1112
> To https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-kylin.git
> ! [remote rejected] KYLIN-1112 (deletion prohibited)
> error: failed to push some refs to 'https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-kylin.git'
> did infra change any policy on this? what is the suggested use of branches now?
