Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-10143) Moving kafka.apache.org website from svn to git (gitwcsub)
Date Wed, 19 Aug 2015 15:23:46 GMT

Geoffrey Corey commented on INFRA-10143:

Currently, the gitwcsub client only supports using the asf-site branch.

And the layout for website docroots is as follows (and only applies to the asf-site branch):

$REPO_ROOT/<raw html>

$REPO_ROOT/content/<raw html> (with content being the *only* folder in $REPO_ROOT)

This is because of the generic vhost setup for TLPs, not a limitation in gitwcsub/svnwcsub.

I'm also assuming kafka will want to do an svn->git mirgation for this? If so, I will need:

1. the new git repo name
2. the email list that commits will go to

KAFKA-2425. We want to maintain code and site docs together. So, we wanted to use "trunk"
branch, with "content" directory for site docs.
