Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-9894) Moderation and Out of Office responders
Date Mon, 29 Jun 2015 13:57:05 GMT
Sebb created INFRA-9894:
---------------------------

Summary: Moderation and Out of Office responders
                 Key: INFRA-9894
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-9894
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Mailing Lists
            Reporter: Sebb

If an ASF mailing list moderator sets up an Out of Office responder when they go off-line,
in the past I have noticed that this means that moderation requests will be auto-accepted.

Work-rounds are: don't use OoO or temporarily disable moderators when they go on holiday.
Neither is very convenient.

Is there any way for moderator replies to be ignored by the mailing list software if they
are OoO replies?

If that is not possible with the current software, is it something that is being taken into
account when deciding on a replacement?
