Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-9832) Please set up git-based website for Apache Isis
Date Tue, 16 Jun 2015 19:02:00 GMT
Dan Haywood created INFRA-9832:
----------------------------------

Summary: Please set up git-based website for Apache Isis
                 Key: INFRA-9832
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-9832
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: Git, Website
            Reporter: Dan Haywood
            Priority: Minor

Apache Isis currently uses the svn-based CMS (https://cms.apache.org/redirect?uri=http://isis.apache.org/).

As per https://blogs.apache.org/infra/entry/git_based_websites_available (and as I understand
it), we can simplify our workflow by being able to push to the "asf-site" branch of (some)
repo; a gitwcsub subscriber will then publish our changes to our site.

Therefore:
- please create a new git repo, "isis-site" and a new branch "asf-site"
- seed with the contents of our current site (https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/isis/site/trunk/content)
- set up the gitwcsub subscriber for the automatic publishing to isis.apache.org.

But let me know if I've misunderstood the blog post and what I've asked for isn't possible...

Many thanks
