Tony Stevenson closed INFRA-9746.
---------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

For now I am closing this as wont fix Ken. We are in the process of replacing the entire mail
stack. If this still does not appear by the end of that process please ask again.

> Please enable address tags/subaddressing on @apache.org eddresses
> -----------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: INFRA-9746
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-9746
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: Mail (qmail)
> Reporter: Rodent of Unusual Size
> Priority: Trivial
>
> In ye olden daze, apache.org eddresses supported address tags (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Address_tags),
such as
> coar+topic@apache.org
> This support was evidently informal and something Brian had enabled back when we were
using his servers. With the migration to the new MX hosts, [~pctony] says it was turned off.
> Can we please [re-]enable it? There don't appear to be any real security reasons not
to do so; I don't think we have any code that would mistakenly parse eddresses and do Bad
Things if it wasn't properly vigilant.
> Thanks!
