Nigel Jones commented on INFRA-9611:
------------------------------------

Hi again

Happy to comment in the JIRA if you prefer, but just thought I'd point out
that in that request the mailing lists were documented as

Mailing lists

dev@atlas.incubator.apache.org
commits@atlas.incubator.apache.org
falcon-private@atlas.incubator.apache.org

I presume the last should be private@atlas.incubator.apache.org ?

I did take a gamble and tried emailing @atlas.incubator.apache.org
dev-subscribe  -> this worked :-)
user-subscribe -> this didn't but as expected as a user list wasn't
requested at this point (habit)
commits-subscribe -> this didn't work
private-subscribe -> this didn't work, but could be due to naming issue
above?

Similarly to Falcon, would it be ok to get any non-private lists ("dev" so
far) setup on gmane.org to allow for NNTP access? (our email client can
get a little tedious with email lists.... so I'm thinking this will
improve usability?)

Currently http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/ only shows "commits",
though that may be the only way that has content (from git) -
interestingly the repo under
https://git1-us-west.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-atlas/repo isn't show
anything yet (to me), but I know you're working on it :-)

I did also note that in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-9611
that
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/public/trunk/content/podlings.xml
 (and hence http://incubator.apache.org/projects/index.html )was modified
though the link to http://incubator.apache.org/atlas is not found. I am
guessing you know about this but just thought I'd mention!

Regards
Nigel.
