Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-9287) Grant write access to merge git pull requests at commons-text

Geoffrey Corey commented on INFRA-9287:
---------------------------------------

At the bottom of the Pull Request, where you see the "This pull request can be automatically
merged." text, there is a set of smaller text right below it with a pseudo-link that says
"You can also merge branches on the command line." If you click the pseudo link, it will show
you the steps to merge the branch using the CLI.

However, it gets much more complicated if this branch only exists on GitHub and not on git-wip-us.

Hope that helps!

> Hello,
> I am trying to merge a pull-request sent to Apache Commons Text (Sandbox) repository
at https://github.com/apache/commons-text/pull/1
> It says that I need write access, but even though I have access to the git repository
at apache, I cannot merge the pull request at GitHub.
> What do I need to be able to merge the PR, please?
> Thank you in advance,
> Bruno
