> Several team members (at least 4) have reported that Review Board complains about commits
not existing on the Ambari repository.
> E.g.,
> {code}
> error: unable to find 331af15c19e03ef68dd76993f853fb9851f063c8
> {code}
> I generate my patches as follows,
> if committed,
> git show --full-index --format=format:%H > ~/AMBARI-####.patch
> if cached,
> git diff HEAD --full-index > ~/AMBARI-####.patch
> For instance, try uploading the attachment to review https://reviews.apache.org/r/29609/
> Interestingly, the base commit doesn't show up on github, e.g., https://github.com/apache/ambari/commit/331af15c19e03ef68dd76993f853fb9851f063c8
> but does appear in the diff and in my local repo.
