Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-7217) Access denied while committing to Hadoop SVN (for a Hadoop committed)
Date Fri, 11 Jul 2014 05:09:05 GMT

Konstantin Boudnik commented on INFRA-7217:

Guys, I keep seeing my account access being blocked like almost every week or so. Resetting
the password via id.apache.org helps, but then it happens again in a 10 days or so. I do not
make this many attempts to login into any infra system whatsoever. Neither I have any bots
running for me.

I have a strong suspicion that someone is trying to break into my account. Is it possible
to track the addresses from where incorrect login attempts are made?

> Issue Type: Bug

> Fix For: Feb 2014
> I can not commit to Hadoop repository today, although I was able to this on Jan 14th.
What I am getting now is:
> Authentication realm: <https://svn.apache.org:443> ASF Committers
> Username: cos
> Password for 'cos':
> svn: E170001: Commit failed (details follow):
> svn: E170001: POST of '/repos/asf/!svn/me': authorization failed: Could not authenticate
to server: rejected Basic challenge (https://svn.apache.org)
> svn: E170001: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
> svn: E170001: '/home/cos/work/hadoop-trunk.svn/svn-commit.tmp'
> Same password works for me to login to people.apache.org
> Apologies if I used wrong component for the bug submission.
