Subject [jira] [Updated] (INFRA-5588) Ubuntu VM for JSPWiki
Date Fri, 20 Sep 2013 02:30:51 GMT

Gavin updated INFRA-5588:
-------------------------

Status: Waiting for user (was: Waiting for Infra)

ok so you've been added to sudo, try it out.

OS patching, feel free to do it yourself, but Infra will check on it from time to time and
update if we feel its too far behind, better you do it as you can control what versions of
what dependencies you might need. Don't upgrade and puppet specific items, and don't touch
any sshd or sudoers stuff. In general, puppet will re-write things anyway so don't worry too
much there.

monitoring can be done by the project.

if you want ssh or an application monitored by nagios/circonus, let us know.

> We want to move our project and dokumentation wikis to an Apache-hosted VM.
> The requirements are as follows:
> Ubuntu OS, 1 GB memory, 20 GB of HDD space, CPU doesn't have to be very beefy
> Regarding ports, we need http, https and ssh.
> My ssh public key can be found in the LDAP directory.
> At the moment, the machine is running one or more Tomcat instances for serving www.jspwiki.org,
sandbox.jspwiki.org and doc.jspwiki.org. Is it possible to keep these names?
> Thanks and regards
