Mark Thomas commented on INFRA-6368:

If only it were that simple. COMPRESSED_FOLDERS is enabled by default but mutt-lite is now
at version 1.5.21. The latest version of Mutt for which a compressed folders patch is available
from the expected location is 1.5.19[1]. Hence the patch was not applied and the feature is
not available.

There looks to be a 1.5.21 compressed folders patch available here:
but I don't the knowledge to validate that the patch is safe.

> My .muttrc has [open-hook \\.gz$ "gzip -cd %f > %t"], since the OS upgrade to 9.1
I get an error [Error in /home/danielsh/.muttrc, line 2: open-hook: unknown command] which
impacts the ability to do e.g. [mutt -f pubmail/subversion.apache.org/dev/201301.gz] which
worked before the upgrade.
