Mathijs Schmittmann commented on INFRA-5909:

Sounds like a good solution too, plus a good use for the invalidating, which only has a meta-info
function at the moment. +1

> ---------------------------------------
> Key: INFRA-5909
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-5909
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Security Level: public(Regular issues)
> Components: Comments
> Reporter: Mathijs Schmittmann
> Assignee: Daniel Gruno
> Priority: Minor
> To avoid having to keep track of the comments that were deemed invalid or Q&A questions,
and coming back later to clean them up (delete them), it would be nice to have a checkbox
'Delete after 3 days' that can be checked when posting a reply to a comment. (using 3 as an
example here)
> This should result in a much less messy comments section :)
> Possible implementation:
> After submitting a reply with this checkbox checked, the comment thread that was replied
to would be marked as to-be-deleted and a timestamp would be added on which the deletion should
take place. A daily cronjob would check this timestamp and delete the comment thread if needed.
