Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-5588) Ubuntu VM for JSPWiki
Date Sun, 16 Dec 2012 10:42:13 GMT

Florian Holeczek commented on INFRA-5588:

Hi Tony,

didn't mean to offend anyone here, it was just a guess!

Yes, the VM will only be used for a (public) project wiki, contents will be project info (beyond
the information our project website is offering) and community-backed documentation.
Since the JSPWiki project is about creating a WikiWiki clone, you will understand that we
don't want to use any of the currently supported wikis :-)

Regarding SSL, yes, it'll be needed then, because we do provide the possibility of logging
in (and most likely will enforce it for editing). Is it also possible to use mod_proxy_ajp?
It's so much easier.

We don't want the VM to become jspwiki.apache.org, but jspwiki.org. Thus, as soon as the VM
is created and everything is working, we want to migrate this domain to the ASF, too.

> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-5588
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Task
> Security Level: public(Regular issues)
> Components: VMWare

> We want to move our project and dokumentation wikis to an Apache-hosted VM.
> The requirements are as follows:
> Ubuntu OS, 1 GB memory, 20 GB of HDD space, CPU doesn't have to be very beefy
> Regarding ports, we need http, https and ssh.
> My ssh public key can be found in the LDAP directory.
> At the moment, the machine is running one or more Tomcat instances for serving www.jspwiki.org,
sandbox.jspwiki.org and doc.jspwiki.org. Is it possible to keep these names?
> Thanks and regards
