The chemistry and jmeter directories have been restored, so the immediate issue is fixed.

However, the US and EU mirrors have different group-write settings for many of the entries.
This does not affect external mirrors, but seems odd if they are using the same process to
synchronise the files.

Does it mean that the US mirror is not picking up permissions correctly?
If so, then there might be problems later: if a minotaur entry starts out with the wrong permission,
will the US mirror pick up a later correction?

Was the cause of the original problem ever found?
It also appears that the US mirror failed to pick up the missing directories automatically
- has the cause of this problem been found and resolved?
