Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-4439) Migrate any23.org ASF Infrastructure
Date Thu, 16 Feb 2012 18:24:59 GMT

Lewis John McGibbney commented on INFRA-4439:

Small update on this parent issue

To install the webservice I believe you have to get the code from the any23 SVN area [1],
compile and package the project using maven,
and then in trunk/service/target you will find the war file which has to be placed on tomcat
If you rename the generated war file to any23

Then verify by accessing

In the previous case (@any23.org) it was available in tomcat behind apache httpd.
In such a case we were aware that you have to be sure that httpd will proxy everything to
the right tomcat location

Below will go to apache site definition

ProxyPass /XXX/any23 http://{some-tomcat-location}/any23
ProxyPassReverse /XXX/any23 http://{some-tomcat-location}/any23

We are working on the rest as you've mentioned above.

> Migrate any23.org ASF Infrastructure
> ------------------------------------
> Key: INFRA-4439
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4439
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Wish
> Security Level: public(Regular issues)
> Reporter: Lewis John McGibbney
> Currently we have a service demo running which displays use and functionality of Apache
> It would be great if we were able to migrate this demo to ASF infrastructure where it
now belongs, apart from anything else it would give us the ability to update the now dated
interface for any23.org which still references old code which was hosted @ googlecode.
> I've provided some details specific to both requests below.
> A full report of the any23.org traffic is attached to ANY23-46. This report details all
specifics far better than I could describe them here.
