Subject [jira] [Closed] (INFRA-3770) Sign Mailing List Messages with DKIM
Date Wed, 13 Jul 2011 08:27:59 GMT

Tony Stevenson closed INFRA-3770.

    Resolution: Won't Fix

This is not as simple as it sounds. Given our complicated mail setup, we cant enforce DKIM.
We'd have to then enforce all mails sent from your apache.org address were sent via our
mail server.

> DKIM is increasingly being used to declaring and proving "ownership" to mail-streams
for the purpose of assigning reputation and detecting phishing or spoofing. GMail, for example,
is now using DKIM along with other technologies to detect phishing: http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/protect-yourself-from-scams-by-knowing.html
