Jacques Le Roux commented on INFRA-3211:

Thanks Gavin,

OK, I tried to have more memory :) What surprises me is it was working well before we updated
the OS (2 months ago)

We really need 512MB for trunk permsize (OOTB it's set to 512MB) but not for current Stable
(we don't see any value for permsize OOTB). I will try 128MB there. It will be 2.4GB at all
and should be OK. In the future (next stable) we will try to use 256MB for each permsize.

> Since Ubuntu update (one/two month ago?) we experience much problems with OFBiz instances
(both trunk and stable): they are often down. I had a look and found that it's not OFBiz related
but due to the environment.
> We get errors like

> There are plenty of examples (hs_err_pid.....log) at the root of both OFBiz demo servers.
I don't think it's a swap space issue, maybe rather a memory issue (we are often running with
only less than 100MB free when both instance are on for a moment). Another 500MB would help
I guess, maybe there are better solutions though. We could also reduce the OFBiz memory footprints
but I think we will then get heap spaces issues (permgen should be ok).
> Also if we could avoid spiders/robots to lurk it would be great...
> Thank you in advance for your much appreciated help
