Subject [jira] Commented: (INFRA-2638) Confluence auto-export does not render code snippet anymore
Date Sat, 24 Apr 2010 06:43:49 GMT

Gavin commented on INFRA-2638:

I'm not sure of the exact problem here though there may be two combined.

1. When Confoluence was moved and reinstalled the 'code macro' plugins - there are two of
them, were causing errors, so one was disabled, two are never meant to be run together. Also,
a few days ago somebody disabled that second one also. I believe that an Autoexport was run
on all sites whilst this plugin was disabled, so therefore the code snippets would not show
in exported pages (nor on the editable pages.)

Since then, I re-enabled the 'Confluence Coder macro' plugin. I have re-exported the sites
with the problem pages above and code is now showing in the exported sites (e.g. https://cwiki.apache.org//MINA/site-template.html)
. These exported pages will need to be synced with the appropriate websites live pages via
scripts on people.apache.org or however you normally update your live sites.

However, there may be another problem.

2. You linked above to : https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/NCODE/Confluence+New+Code+Macro
This is the code plugin available in Confluence, however this one is NOT enabled, the Atlassian
one is.

So has 1) above solved your issues or do we need to swap plugins and use 2) ?

> -----------------------------------------------------------
> Key: INFRA-2638

> Priority: Critical
> Some Apache projects uses {code} markup for syntax highlighting of code snippets.
> Since a few days, some project sites are not rendered correctly because the auto-export
produces the following code:
> <SCRIPT type="syntaxhighlighter" class="toolbar: false; theme: default; brush: java;
gutter: false">... </SCRIPT>
> Before the snippet was directly exported to HTML with highlight formating.
> This does not affects confluence rendering only auto-export ($tlp.apache.org pages).
> It appears that we now use this component for syntax highlighting (maybe because of a
confluence update):

> Example:
> - source page:
> - rendering page:
> - exported page:
> A fix can be to provide the needed JS and CSS by modifying our velocity template:

> Source:

> http://qpid.apache.org/ssl.html
> ...
> The list of affected pages can be found with:
> $ ssh people.apache.org
> $ grep -l syntaxhighlighter /www/*/*.html | wc -l
> 428
