------------------------------

Hi Tim,

Going through your points.

1. The demos I feel would be best served by a zone or a vm. We have solaris zones so can set
one of those up for you and give you ssh access to install and look after the demos yourself.
If a VM with either Ubuntu or Windows is preferred then there would be a longer wait , we
have a machine on order but could take a while to get it all set up.

2. logs.ofbiz.org for me currently gives me the api docs. Regarding logs in general I don't
think it necessary to zip them up and make them available for the public, however buildbot
stdio steps are logged and available. For instance aptel makes a commit and the changed files
and commit comments are available at http://ci.apache.org/changes/673. All the steps taken
to perform the build are available at http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-trunk/builds/200.
You'll see you get two lots of compile warnings - stdio http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-trunk/builds/200/steps/compile/logs/stdio
and warnings http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-trunk/builds/200/steps/compile/logs/warnings
etc... All these urls available from the main http://ci.apache.org/waterfall page. (more useful
views coming soon).
We have RAT report available at http://ci.apache.org/projects/ofbiz/rat-report.txt (html version
available also) which shows 243 Unknown (likely missing) license headers -- this may be inaccurate,
I will work with you to remove false readings to give you a more accurate report.) If logs
really are required from running instances, I'll work with you to achieve a good balance,
but feel really only devs need logs from demos which they can obtain themselves.

3. No problem, I'll set this up on buildbot.

4. Yes, it is available at the URI of http://ci.apache.org/projects/ofbiz/site/javadocs/ -
we can copy this to minotaur which can then be synced to your main url of ofbiz.apache.org/api/
for example if that is preferred (though will always be available on ci.apache.org.)

5. ( You didnt mention 5.....) You have your doc.ofbiz.org -- I'm assuming you want these
migrated over to cwiki.apache.org/ofbiz* - We have upgraded to Confluence 2.10.3 -- so if
you can get upgraded to 2.10 also we should be able to export/import these spaces quite easily.

Regarding your look and feel, to make everything cohesive, yes I feel we should do that.
Step 1 above you would be able to do yourself just by deploying the demos on a zone or vm.
Steps 2 and 3 I will do on buildbot though may ask for a bit of help, we'll see. Step 5 ,
you may have to redo your templates in confluence after the upgrade to 2.10 but shouldn't
be major.

So, whats next. First off I feel you should start the ball rolling on point 5 this week, organize
an upgrade to a compatible Confluence version (if neccessary) so we can import the spaces.
Also, create another Infra Issue purely asking for a zone/vm (as a sub-task of this issue
if you like) then those responsible for zone/vm creation can see that without being cluttered
by the rest of this issue. I will make a start on getting point 3 done this week so that builds
are available as zips/gz for download. Once thats working we can work on the look and feel
of that downloads page.

I havent done anything regarding archiving yet, so need to sort that out too.

HTH

Gav...
