Subject [jira] Commented: (INFRA-1890) new dns for maven repository
Date Thu, 05 Feb 2009 20:31:59 GMT

Brian Fox commented on INFRA-1890:

The previous discussion was around a single infrastructure for this, so repository, repo,
mrepo, maven-repo are all more neutral recommendations. Similar to cwiki.a.o vs confluence.a.o.

> new dns for maven repository
> ----------------------------
> Key: INFRA-1890
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1890
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Task
> Security Level: public(Regular issues)
> Components: DNS
> Reporter: Brian Fox
> To properly isolate the distribution management urls for deploying artifacts to Nexus,
we should have a new dns entry that isn't tied to the machine or a specific zone. repository.apache.org
or maven-repository.apache.org are options. This should point at repository.zones.apache.org
for now.
