Subject [jira] Resolved: (INFRA-1397) Jira generated emails not making it to some Lucene dev lists (nutch and lucene-java)

Jeff Turner resolved INFRA-1397.

    Resolution: Fixed
      Assignee: Jeff Turner

I thought this might happen. On 2 November I enabled the "Precedence: bulk" header on JIRA
emails, to prevent mail loops:

"The only reason I can think of for turning it off is if some mailing lists reject emails
with "Precedence: bulk". I don't think that's been the case at Apache. Is there an easy way
to check the list setups for bulk-friendliness? Otherwise I guess we just turn it back on
and see who complains. I'll do this in the next few days if nobody shouts."

I've disabled it for now, and will follow up on INFRA-1356. Sorry for the problems.

> starting sometime after Nov 2nd, Jira changes for NUTCH and LUCENE stped sending email
to the respective dev lists of those sub-projects. Other sub-projects (HADOOP and SOLR) are
still getting Jira generated emails however.

> (Note: you may notice that the email thread for LUCENE-1044 does have messages in the
mail archive more recent then Nov2, but that is because of direct email replies -- updates
made to that issue after Nov 2 have not triggered emails)
