Couldn't this be filter out?  
I guess that there are already some rules, but there are probably not enought.  I regularily
still see some of those files on our mailing list.
Here is some possible tips I see :
- The mail subject/content contains "out of office", "auto-reply", "automatic reply", some
dates, "for urgent matters", "contact".  They are always replies.  It is usually short mails
(less than 10 lines).
