Grisha Trubetskoy updated INFRA-1355:
-------------------------------------

    Description:

The board has agreed to create the Quetzalcoatl project. It will include the mod_python subproject,
formerly under HTTP Server PMC.

To aid in the process, would the Infrastructure team please do the following:

#=======================================

[0] Root tasks:

Create unix group "quetz"

Create DNS entry quetz.apache.org and configure website server instance

Create DNS entry quetzalcoatl.apache.org
                Redirect http://quetz.apache.org/ permanent

Create DNS entry python.apache.org [see board mtg notes from 7/18/07 and email from PSF in
correspondence OK-ing this]
                Redirect http://quetz.apache.org/ permanent

#=======================================
[1] Mailing List (i) addresses

Please migrate the existing archives, subscribers and moderators to the following lists:

          private@quetz.apache.org (NEW)
          mod_python-users@quetz.apache.org (NEW)
          mod_python-dev@quetz.apache.org from python-dev@httpd.apache.org
          mod_python-commits@quetz.apache.org from python-cvs@httpd.apache.org

(iii) archives: please provide for merged archives for:
         python-dev@httpd merged with mod_python-dev@quetz
         python-cvs@httpd merged with mod_python-commits@quetz

  3. http://quetz.apache.org/mail/quetz/mod_python-commits/YYYYMM.gz
  4. private@quetz to be archived in the private area.

(iv) options

I. Reply-To: Header [X] yes [ ] no
II. Message Trailer [ ] yes [X] no

#=======================================
[2] Source Tracker

   (I think I can do this myself?)

Create TLP dir /quetzalcoatl
Move httpd/mod_python to /quetzalcoatl/mod_python
Create quetzalcoatl group in asf-authorization
Create quetz-mod_python group in asf-authorization

#=======================================
[3] Other:

        (These items will need further discussion by Q. PMC, but for completness sake)

          In order to migrate (currently privately hosted)
          http://www.modpython.org/ we will need a solaris zone
          because that instance of httpd runs mod_python

          mod_python@modpython.org mailing list is Mailman, needs to
          somehow be migrated to mod_python-users@quetz.apache.org
          painlessly
