Ted Husted commented on INFRA-1364:

If we're talking about another Confluence space of the same version, it should be possible
to backup and restore the space.

We just have to be *very* careful that it's a space backup/restore and NOT as site backup/restore.
It's a critical difference, and restoring a site backup (rather than a space backup) would
overwrite all the other spaces. (Meaning test it locally first against another Confluence
instance with other spaces!).

As to importing other formats, I've never tried or looked into it myself.

> We've decided to move the Archiva content from docs.codehaus.org to cwiki.apache.org:

> I'm able to create the spaces and the permissions - but I'm unaware if it is possible
to import an existing space or not - is this possible, and if so what format do I need to
provide it in? It would be preferable to do this to make the move faster (and preserve history
if possible).
