For id's getent should show you both the contents of passwd and the posix groups in ldap.


For email something like this will show email addresses:

ldapsearch -x -D "cn=root,dc=apache,dc=org" -W -b "ou=groups,dc=apache,dc=org" -s sub "(cn=sebb)"
mail

I think that'll return the email as recorded in ldap for you.  Mail attribute was populated
from ~/.forward.

You may be able to bind anon.  Not sure how Tony has it.  You could also use this for posix
account validation



Here's an example how to see what posix groups you are in:

ldapsearch -x -D "cn=root,dc=apache,dc=org" -W -b "ou=groups,dc=apache,dc=org" -s sub "(cn=*)"
memberuid=sebb
