I've heard rumors of folks running git and svn in the same workspace. 
So you could, e.g., have different git branches for different patches 
you're working on, switch to a particular git patch branch, then commit 
it directly using svn.  Has anyone actually tried this?  Does it work? 
What are the pitfalls?
