However I felt this was specific enough that we could take away potential user/config questions away from the infra list and have those interested parties take the traffic. (I compared it to repository@ which is another specific list that most of infra would not be interested in). I raised a discussion thread on infrastructure@ suggesting this list and got +1s all around.
