Synopsis: mod so initiative stops configuration

State-Changed-From-To: open-feedback
State-Changed-By: trawick
State-Changed-When: Tue Mar 12 04:12:38 PST 2002
State-Changed-Why:
This part of the configure output is a hint to the problem:

Checking for DSO...

checking for NSLinkModule... no
checking for dlopen in -ldl... no
checking for dlopen... no
checking for load_image in -lroot... no
checking for shl_load in -ldld... no

I would expect that the dlopen() test would succeed on BSDi.
In order to make some progress on this, please extract the messages from srclib/apr/config.log
which correspond to the
messages above. (The start of the section should be the
first occurrence of "NSLinkModule" in config.log.)

Put those messages in a reply to the problem report and
hopefully there will be some clues about what is going
wrong.
