Yes, but your test above includes no header fields.

Try a request along the lines of:

GET / HTTP/1.1<CRLF>
Host:<CRLF>
<SP>your.hostname.here<CRLF>
<CRLF>

You will see that the "Host:" header is parsed correctly, and the request
is fulfilled as would be expected.
