SunOS xxx 5.6 Generic_105181-17 sun4m sparc SUNW,SPARCstation-20

Server version: Apache/1.3.12 (Unix)
Server built: Sep 14 2000 12:38:29
Server's Module Magic Number: 19990320:7
Server compiled with....
 -D HTTPD_ROOT="/usr/local/apache1.3.12"
 -D SUEXEC_BIN="/usr/local/apache1.3.12/bin/suexec"
 -D DEFAULT_PIDLOG="logs/httpd.pid"
 -D DEFAULT_SCOREBOARD="logs/httpd.scoreboard"
 -D DEFAULT_LOCKFILE="logs/httpd.lock"
 -D DEFAULT_XFERLOG="logs/access_log"
 -D DEFAULT_ERRORLOG="logs/error_log"
 -D TYPES_CONFIG_FILE="conf/mime.types"
 -D SERVER_CONFIG_FILE="conf/httpd.conf"
 -D ACCESS_CONFIG_FILE="conf/access.conf"
 -D RESOURCE_CONFIG_FILE="conf/srm.conf"

compiled using gcc 2.8.1
The error log has entries such as

[error] (17)File exists: proxy: error linking cache file
/here/proxy/tmpaxxxxx to /here/proxy/0/_/xxxxxxxx

like stated in PR 3558. This still seems to happen with Apache 1.3.12 on
Solaris :-(
