SuSE Linux 6.1 - Kernel 2.2.5
Problem looks similar to PR no. 5705 (did not find a fix there):
Apache works fine, but when trying to start JServ 1.2 automatically I get the following error
[26/07/2000 20:14:05:770] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: can not connect to host
[26/07/2000 20:14:05:771] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: connection fail
[26/07/2000 20:14:05:772] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol "ajpv12"
[26/07/2000 20:14:05:773] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol "status"
[26/07/2000 20:14:08:829] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: can not connect to host
[26/07/2000 20:14:08:830] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: function connection fail
I can start the //localhost/jserv/ servlet, the configured host works fine, but the mapped
servlet engine (.../engine/0) does not, it causes an internal server error with the following
asterix - - [26/Jul/2000:20:14:05 +0200] "GET /jserv/engine/0/ HTTP/1.0" 500 591
httpd: [Wed Jul 26 20:10:14 2000] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
httpd: [Wed Jul 26 20:11:13 2000] [notice] mod_perl/1.18 Apache/1.3.4 (Unix) (SuSE/Linux)
ApacheJServ/1.1.2 PHP/3.0.7 configured -- resuming normal operations
httpd: [Wed Jul 26 20:11:13 2000] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)

Both Apache web server and JServ are running on the same machine...
