Linux segfault.dev.vtrails.com 2.2.14 #3 SMP Sun Jan 16 20:15:03 IST 2000 i686 
Compiled and installed mod_php4 using apxs.
apachectl configtest quits with status 8
When replacing php4 with php3 in LoadModule and AddModule  directives, the conf files
reads just fine.

Some more info about mod_so and various problems with it on the website may definitely help.
