Subject: Re: general/5659: error 400 when using hostnames with underscores
Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 21:09:28 -0800 (PST)

Red Hat Linux release 6.0 (Hedwig)
 Kernel 2.2.5-15 on an i686
 GNU Make version 3.77
 gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2
 w/ PHP 3.0.14
Error 400, Bad Request is given every time I have
tried to connect to a virtual
host using an underscore(_) in its hostname. I tried
 several controls, including
different hostnames, document roots and IP's, all with
 the same result. Any virtual
host with a "_" in the name (ex. test_serv.qx.net)
 gave 400 error, regardless of
any other changes I made. hope this helps:) Thanks.

 http://test_serv.qx.net <--does not work
With the same environment its working fine for us. It
is not a problem in Apache...try to match your
/etc/hosts file and httpd.conf entries with the
 following ours.
"hosts" file entries are: localhost localhost.localdomain chs_a.kovaiteam.com chs
 "httpd.conf" entries are:
 <VirtualHost chs_a.kovaiteam.com>
 Server name chs.kovaiteam.com
 DocumentRoot /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin
