This is perl, version 5.005_01 built for i386-linux-thread

apxs has backtick vs double quote syntax error; see the patch below.
>How-To-Repeat:
grab 1.3 from CVS,
./configure --prefix=/opt/apache-1.3.5-dev --with-layout=GNU --enable-module=so --enable-shared=max
make
make install

then grab php from cvs
autoconf
./configure --with-apxs=/opt/apache-1.3.5-dev/sbin/apxs --with-config-file-path=/opt/apache-1.3.5-dev/etc

see the error in the configure output.
