I'm using Apache as a proxy-only server.
What I've noticed is that if from my Win-Netscape client I retrieve something 
with FTP protocol,the session remains established for a very long period of 
time.
An example is better than thousands of words.

Why do you think ftp connections are kept alive for such a long time?
