>Release: Apache1.2.6
Linux inkle 2.0.33 #3 Sat Mar 14 20:20:53 CST 1998 i586
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-unknown-linux-gnulibc1/
gcc version
After I do these commands:
 cd apache_1.2.6/src/; ./Configure ; make
then the following errors come out (I have no problem compiling Apache1.3b5(6) )

(cd regex; make lib CC='gcc' AUX_CFLAGS='-O2 -DLINUX=2 ' RANLIB='ranlib')
make[1]: Entering directory `/tmp/apache_1.2.6/src/regex'
rm -f *.o
sh ./mkh -i _REGEX_H_ regex2.h regcomp.c regerror.c regexec.c regfree.c >regex.
./mkh: egrep: command not found
./mkh: egrep: command not found
./mkh: egrep: command not found
./mkh: egrep: command not found
./mkh: egrep: command not found
cmp -s regex.tmp regex.h 2>/dev/null || cp regex.tmp regex.h
rm -f regex.tmp
sh ./mkh -p regcomp.c >regcomp.ih
./mkh: egrep: command not found
gcc -I. -DPOSIX_MISTAKE -O2 -DLINUX=2 -c regcomp.c -o regcomp.o
regcomp.c:87: parse error before `regex_t'
regcomp.c:87: warning: data definition has no type or storage class
regcomp.c:90: parse error before `{'
regcomp.c:92: register name not specified for `g'
regcomp.c:93: `pa' undeclared here (not in a function)
regcomp.c:93: register name not specified for `p'
regcomp.c:94: register name not specified for `i'

I don't think this is the problem with Apache itself, but I don't
know what is wrong since Apache1.3b5 or Apache1.3b6 compiles but
Apache1.2.5 or Apache1.2.6 fail to compile.
