The bug submission CGI should spot check the email address to ensure that
it matches /^[^\s]+\@[^\s]+\.[^\s]+$/ ... which is a fairly liberal regex
that should catch the most common user screwups.  Maybe be nice, and strip
leading and trailing spaces.
