Synopsis: child processes going to disk, gradually making server unusable

State-Changed-From-To: open-analyzed
State-Changed-By: marc
State-Changed-When: Sat Nov 22 16:28:36 PST 1997
State-Changed-Why:
In addition to what Dean said, are you serving files via
NFS or is your ServerRoot located on a NFS mounted
partition?

Processes becoming unkillable is almost always something
broken with the OS; almost nothing a process can do should be able
to make it completely unkillable.
