Date Mon, 09 Jun 1997 15:05:36 GMT
Synopsis: Too many log files for Apache to handle?

State-Changed-From-To: open-closed
State-Changed-By: marc
State-Changed-When: Mon Jun 9 08:05:35 PDT 1997
State-Changed-Why:
This is explained in the FAQ.

	http://www.apache.org/docs/misc/FAQ.html#fdlim

This is not a limit with Apache, but a limit of your OS.
Depending on the version of IRIX and the architecture
you are running on, you may be limited to 256 FILE *
structures by the OS. You can try a "ulimit -n unlimited"
before starting the server, but there is a good chance
that won't work because of the FILE * problem.
