SunOS 4.1.2 / acc: SC3.0.1 7/13/94
New in Version 1.2b7:
The return code from shutdown(lsd, 1) in linger_close() is tested.
Only if (errno != ENOTCONN) log_unixerr() is called.

I use a proxy URL an hit STOP on my netscape
I found the following SUN Bug Info:
 Bug Id: 1018308
 Category: doc
 Subcategory: userman
 Release summary: 4.0
Synopsis: man page for shutdown system call should not list error ENOTCONN.
system call shutdown(2) never has error ENOTCONN.

May be EINVAL is the correct errno%3
