conference, trainings, and expo of The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) ret=
urns to Atlanta this November, with dozens of technical, business, and comm=
unity-focused sessions at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.=
=0A=0AOver the past decade, the ASF has gone from strength to strength, dev=
eloping and shepherding nearly 150 Top-Level Projects and new initiatives i=
n the Apache Incubator and Labs. This year's ApacheCon celebrates how Apach=
e technologies have sparked creativity, challenged processes, streamlined d=
evelopment, improved collaboration, launched businesses, bolstered economie=
s, and improved lives.=0A=0AWe are proud of our achievements and recognize =
that the global Apache community --both developers and users-- are responsi=
ble for the success and popularity of our products.=0A=0AThe ApacheCon Plan=
ning Team are soliciting 50-minute technical presentations for the next con=
ference, which will focus on the theme =E2=80=9CServers, the Cloud, and Inn=
ovation=E2=80=9D.=0A=0AWe are particularly interested in highly-relevant, p=
rofessionally-directed presentations that demonstrate specific probrlems an=
d real-world solutions. Part of the technical program has already been plan=
ned; we welcome proposals based on the following Apache Projects and relate=
d technical areas:=0A=0A- Cassandra/NoSQL=0A- Content Technologies=0A- (Jav=
a) Enterprise Development=0A- Felix/OSGi=0A- Geronimo=0A- Hadoop + friends/=
Cloud Computing=0A- Lucene, Mahout + friends/Search=0A- Tomcat=0A- Tuscany=
=0ASubmissions are open to anyone with relevant expertise: ASF affiliation =
is not required to present at, attend, or otherwise participate in ApacheCo=
n.=0A=0APlease keep in mind that whilst we encourage submissions that the h=
ighlight the use of specific Apache solutions, we are unable to accept mark=
eting/commercially-oriented presentations.=0A=0AOther proposals, such as pa=
nels, or those longer than 50 minutes in duration have been considered in t=
he past. You are welcome to submit an alternate presentation, however, such=
 sessions are accepted under exceptional circumstances. Please be as descri=
ptive as possible, including names/bios of proposed panelists and any relat=
ed details.=0A=0AAll accepted speakers (not co-presenters) qualify for gene=
ral conference admission and a minimum of two nights lodging at the confere=
nce hotel. Additional hotel nights and travel assistance are possible, depe=
nding on the number of presentations given and type of assistance needed.=
