This is not actually an answer to your post.

Anyway I was thinking along the same lines.

Is it possible to use SOAP with the default parsers that comes with the 48MB 
monstrousity that is J2SE 1.4 ? Or do we still need to use the Xerces 
parsers ?

If this is a stupid question, pls dont flame. Thanks.
