Scott Seely in his book "Soap" points to 
http://www-ccs.cs.mass.edu/~shri/iPic.html where an 8 bit pic computer 
about the size of a quarter uses a 256 byte tcpip stack to support a 
full Http srrver. It may still be there. built in '99 it probably still 
holds the record.
